Overview

[4-(2-amino‑4‑methyl‑thiazol‑5‑yl)‑pyrimidin‑2‑yl]-(3-nitro-phenyI)-amine is a synthetic small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases, specifically CDK2 and CDK9. It was developed as part of a structure-guided drug discovery program to identify potent ATP-antagonistic inhibitors targeting the kinase active site. The compound has demonstrated low nanomolar inhibitory activity against CDK2 in biochemical assays and shows antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects in cellular models consistent with dual inhibition of CDK2 and CDK9. It is considered an experimental agent with potential applications in cancer research but has not advanced beyond preclinical or early-stage investigation[1][5][6].
